Summer 2008
The kids worked hard through the year and they have earned some rest and relaxation. At Discovery Land Camp we truly believe that even while resting, it is a good chance to learn more. Our camp gives invaluable opportunity for children to discover new activities, find new friends and learn patience, tolerance and the value of teamwork.
DiscoveryLand Camp is an opportunity for kids to learn they can exist outside the home without their parents taking care of every need all the time.
Camp Location
Our summer camp is located at a natural oasis in the midst of southern Ontario, approximately two and a half hours west of Toronto, on the shores of Lake Huron, close to Goderich city. Here on Lake Huron, vast waves of sand dunes roll back from the shore to meet groups of towering oaks. With incredible wildlife, natural wonders and excellent bird watching, it is a "natural room with a view" – an environmental paradise! The long sandy beach offers the best swimming.

IF YOU PICK UP/DROP OFF THE CAMPER ON YOUR OWN – HOW TO FIND US.
1. Google Point Farm Provincial Park On the internet.
2. After you get to Point Farms Provincial Park, go to administration office
3. Inform administration that you are going to group campsite 402 DiscoveryLand Camp and leave a deposit.
4. Go to group campsite area 402 DiscoveryLand Camp (just follow the group campsite signs). If you return to the office in less than 1 hour, you will get your deposit back.
Preferable picking up/dropping off time: Sunday from 2.00 PM till 4.00 PM Please double check the route before driving to us as you may find better driving directions options.
Camp facilities
Campers reside in cottage tents and weather-proof tents, 2-3, sometimes 4 campers per unit, feeling as a part of the Earth. We make wilderness accessible without having to leave a trace behind.
Sleeping places are equipped with beds. Solid heavy duty shelters cover all sleeping areas for extra protection.
Indoor showers, flush toilets and laundry are available.
Basketball, soccer, volleyball and badminton fields are available any time.
The sandy shores of beautiful Lake Huron are 3-4 minutes away if walking.
